Welcome to America's Socialist Party. We are formally known as the American Socialist Party. The American Socialist Party forms a homogenous association through which local socialist groups unite on national issues. State and county intermediaries are used to create consensus among the autonomous local organizations. The state intermediaries come together at the national level to merge their propositions into a cohesive national resolution.

Socialism in history
The history of socialism in America spans more than 150 years. Socialism has been the driving force, or change agent, that has led progress and improved the lives of American workers. Capitalists often falsely assert that society cannot have democracy without capitalism. The American Founding Fathers and patriots throughout American history have been quite clear: Democracy cannot survive without an equitable distribution of wealth as prescribed by socialism. In fact, socialist reforms are clearly associated with periods of economic prosperity. In addition, periods of economic distress directly correlate to the economic disparity caused by eroding socialist principles in the workplace.

What is socialism?
Socialism is not the antithesis of capitalism. Socialism is simply a regulated form of capitalism. Socialism ensures workers contributing to the production of profits are given an equitable portion of the profits that their efforts helped produce. Socialism is a worker-centric political proposition that ensures economic fairness to all members of society.
